  9.       Join - To combine one    or more    files into one larger file.

  11.      SYNOPSIS
  12.       Join FILES/... AS UltimateFile
  13.  
  14.      DESCRIPTION
  15.       This program combines    several    files into one larger file,
  16.       which    may be a device    such as    a printer or modem. Like most
  17.       ARP commands,    it accepts wildcards as    its arguments. This
  18.       command will alphabatize the wildcarded filenames before
  19.       using    them. If you specify only one name, then a simple Copy
  20.       will result.

  22.       REL2 of ARP adds the convenience of multiarguments to    this
  23.       command, you may specify any number of files to be joined
  24.       together on the command line,    there is no longer any upper
  25.       limit.

  27.      ADDITIONAL    CONSIDERATIONS
  28.       Given    the added capabilities of the ARP Type program,    Join
  29.       is pretty useless and    could be dispensed with. It is
  30.       included for backward's compatibility    with batch scripts.
  31.       The one advantage of Join is that it runs a bit faster for
  32.       large    files.

  34.      EXAMPLE
  35.           Join File1 File2 File3 AS FILES1-3
  36.  
  37.       the above command will combine the three files File1 File2
  38.       and File3 into one large file    named FILES1-3.     Note that the
  39.       original files are unharmed.
